TDI, a special knife designed for members of the armed forces, this knife was developed by John Benner, owner and instructor of the TDI training center. He previously served in both the police and the military. He was the founder of the first SWAT unit.
The knife was intended to look relatively unobtrusive, non-aggressive, and be collapsible.
The knife serves as a "last resort" in extreme close-quarters combat when an attacker tries to take an officer's weapon. With one hand, the officer can protect his firearm, while the other can quickly draw the TDI. Designed like a pistol, the knife's grip for combat is more natural than a traditional knife, plus the shape makes it more packable and much faster than a switchblade.
The handle is made of Zytel, perfectly shaped, the tetno material does not change size, shape or color over time, it has a wet grip.
Benner has trained thousands of law enforcement officers since TDI was founded in 1986.
